April 2012: How to Shop a Farmer’s Market Forum
On April 29, Slow Food Kansas City hosted a “How to Shop a Farmer’s Market” forum at BADSEED Farmer’s Market. We were served a DELICIOUS meal and learned from four amazing women – (right to left) Emily Akins, Loretta Craig, Lisa Markley, Beth Bader and Beth’s adorable little girl, Amalie.
All of the recipes are available on Beth’s blog, The (ex)Expatriate’s Kitchen, along with a fun recount of just what it takes to put a Slow Food event on. It takes a team of people, lots of planning (and re-planning), time and resources. We’re extremely grateful to everyone who made this day a success.
