The afternoon will be largely informal and will include a presentation on Terra Madre 2012 by Jamie Milks and Mike Hursey , Slow Food Kansas City’s delegate to Terra Madre in Turin, Italy. You’ll learn about what Terra Madre is, what they accomplished in Turin this year as an international movement and how Slow Food Kansas City envisions the international direction set forth by the Slow Food International Congress to be executed here in Kansas City. The presentation and discussion will be at 2pm and dinner will begin around 4pm.

A light dinner will be provided. and guests are welcome to bring a bottle of wine or beer to enjoy during the event. We are encouraging guests to explore some of the local wines and beers around Kansas City, and it would be fun (not required) to have many different local products represented (in the spirit of Terra Madre).
