When: Wednesday, May 6, from 5 to 9 p.m.
Why: Chipotle is committed to supporting local organizations, including local groups aligned with Chipotle’s Food With Integrity mission and is proud to partner with the local Kansas City Slow Food chapter for this fundraiser. Similar to Chipotle’s Food With Integrity mission dedicated to sourcing fresh, sustainable ingredients with respect to the land, the animals and the farmers who produce the food, Slow Food aims to renew and celebrate interest in food, where it comes from, how it tastes and how our food choices affect others. Please visit the local website, www.slowfoodkc.org for more information on Slow Food and Slow Food KC.
More about Chipotle: Steve Ells, founder, chairman and co-CEO, started Chipotle with the idea that food served fast did not have to be a typical fast food experience. Today, Chipotle continues to offer a focused menu of burritos, tacos, burrito bowls (a burrito without the tortilla) and salads made from fresh, high-quality raw ingredients, prepared using classic cooking methods and served in a distinctive atmosphere. Through our vision of Food with Integrity, Chipotle is seeking better food not only from using fresh ingredients, but ingredients that are sustainably grown and naturally raised with respect for the animals, the land, and the farmers who produce the food. Chipotle opened its first restaurant in 1993 and currently operates more than 830 restaurants. For more information, visit Chipotle.com.
