Donations, please!

We want your stuff! New or gently used culinary stuff, that is!
Admit it. You’ve probably got things in your kitchen that you no longer use.

Maybe they seemed like a good idea at the time. Maybe you have duplicate gadgets, items that are no longer your style, or family heirlooms that need a good home. Give them a new life and help an important cause: The Slow Food Kansas City Culinary Garage Sale on September 16!

Every other year, Slow Food Kansas City hosts this uniquely themed sale to raise money for our designated charities. Part of what makes this sale such a success is the quality and variety of items donated by people just like you.

Look in your cupboards, basement and storage totes for those new or gently used pieces. Here are some ideas to get you started:
Collectable glassware
Appliances large or small
Grilling accessories
Retro barware
Copper pots
Linens, napkins, aprons
Pasta makers
Rare cookbooks
Table decor
Quirky salt and pepper shakers
Cast iron
The majority of proceeds from this year’s sale will benefit the Veterans Community Project (http://veteranscommunityproject.org/), a local non-profit that’s getting national and international attention for its unique approach to combat veteran homelessness. Monies raised from our Culinary Garage Sale will go toward building homes for veterans, as well as establishing a garden for veterans to grow their own food and reconnect with the earth.

Your thoughtful donations will make a profound impact on the lives of others in our community.
